Speech Competition 2024

The Department of Microbiology, Patna Women’s College organised a Speech Competition on 9th February, 2024 on the topic “Genetically Modified Organisms” for the students of B.Sc Microbiology. The participants expressed their views on the Genetically modified organisms(GMO), highlighting the various methods used for the creation of a GMO, their advantages and disadvantages. The judges for the competition were Dr. Soofia Fatima, Dean, Faculty of Commerce, Dr. Sumeet Ranjan, Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology and Dr.Jaya Philip, Head, Department of Microbiology. The judges appreciated the efforts of the participants and gave their valuable suggestions on how to be a good orator. The first position was bagged by Aditi Chauhan; the second position was won by Saumya Sinha and Mariya Abid and the third position was won by Yemna Abid. It was a learning experience and the participants got an opportunity to work on their speaking abilities.
