The Department of Home Science celebrated Freshers Day 2024 with great enthusiasm, welcoming new students with a vibrant program. The event began with a beautiful rendition of the welcome song “Jhoom Jhoom Har Kali” by PG and UG Semester 1 students. This was followed by a captivating dance performance by Lalita Vedica and Rashmi, and another energetic dance by PG and UG students.

A heart-touching skit on forced marriage highlighted the emotional bonds in relationships, leaving a significant impact on the audience.

The program was judged by Dr. Manjula Sushila, Head of the Department of Hindi, and Professor Enakshi Dey Vishwash, Coordinator of Professional Arts.

Dr. Sister M. Tanisha A.C., Head of the Department of Home Science, gave blessings to all the new freshers for their journey. All the teachers from the Department of Home Science were present, encouraging the students throughout the event. The event was coordinated by Dr. Rosy Kumari, Assistant Professor.

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Lalita Kumari, expressing gratitude to all participants and attendees. Freshers Day 2024 was a joyous occasion, marking the beginning of a new journey for the students and fostering a strong sense of community within the department.
