On July 30 th 2025, the Department of Home Science greeted the new batch of BA students (2025-2029) with great enthusiasm and excitement in Room Number 35 at 1:00 p.m. The Fresher’s Day program, organized by the BA First Year students, was a resounding success, featuring a range of entertaining performances.
The event showcased a number of performances which displayed the talent of the students. The program started with a welcome song by the students, to greet the audience, followed by a group dance. The highlight of the event was a fashion show in which all the students participated. The other programs included group song and poem recitation by Ananya Ranjan. The program was anchored by Ayushi Bharti and Anushka Singh and the vote of thanks was proposed by Shahnila Shabbir. Ms. Enakshi Dey Biswas and Ms. Kriti Rani esteemed judges, appreciated the performance of the students. Ms. Ayushi Bharti was crowned as Miss Fresher. The faculty members from the Department of Home Science and Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics were also present for this program. The Student’s council was represented by Nikita Anand.The program concluded with inspiring words from Dr Sister. M.Tanisha A.C., Head, Department of Home Science, to encourage the new students.
