Brief Report –

Patna Women’s College (Autonomous) organized a Thematic Dance Competition on 6th August 2022 with the theme “Desh Rakshakon Ko Salaam” (Salute to the Protectors of the Nation). The program aimed to honor and acknowledge the selfless services rendered by our jawans (soldiers) towards the nation. The event commenced with a warm welcome extended to the armed forces and police officers, who were greeted with roses, shawls, and tilaks as a gesture of gratitude and respect. The thematic dance performance followed, dedicated to honoring the bravery and unwavering dedication of these officers. Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C., Principal of  Patna Women’s College, expressed her deep admiration and saluted the jawans, emphasizing that these heroes consistently prioritize the nation above themselves. Colonel Upjit Singh Randhawa, Deputy Commandant of the Bihar Regimental Centre, addressed the students, highlighting the significant role played by women in the armed forces. The esteemed panel of judges for the competition included Professor Dr. Shefali Roy, Director of the Centre for Public Administration and Professor at the Department of Political Science, Patna University; Sister Stuti A.C., Assistant Professor in the Department of Zoology, Patna Women’s College; and Dr. Amrita Prakash, Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Applications, Patna Women’s College.
