Two-Day Student Development Programme for students of Commerce Professional

The Department of Commerce Professional organized a Two-Day student development programme for students of Semester-I and Semester-III of B.Com (Commerce Professional) on 27th & 28th September 2024 from 10.00 am to 12.00 pm in MVEIC hall of Patna Women’s College. On Day-1, CS Kritika Anand Tiwary, Company Secretary, Patna, addressed the students on ‘Impact of Business Structure on Funding and Investment’. She explained the importance of different business structures in determining how a company raises capital and manages investments. On Day-2, CA Amit Kumar, Chartered Accountant gave an insight on ‘Investment in Equity and Debt Securities’. He provided the students with a practical session on investment to provide a hands-on experience in understanding various investment strategies, tools, and real-world financial decision-making.
The session started with welcoming the speakers with a plant sapling by CS Shweta Shah, Coordinator, Commerce Professional. Dr. Soofia Fatima, Dean and Head, Department of Commerce and other faculty members were also present in the programme. The session was moderated by Ms. Arunima Singh of B.Com (Commerce Professional) on the first day and Ms. Kanishka Gupta of B.Com (Commerce Professional) on the second day. The sessions were interactive and enriching. A vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Suhani Singh of Semester- III, B.Com (Commerce Professional) and Ms. Maitri of Semester- I, B.Com (Commerce Professional) respectively.
