Mental Well-being Club
On the 5th of October, at first there was the inauguration programme of Mental Well-being Club together with Substance Abuse Prevention Cell, Patna Women’s College. Ms. Shabana Fatima, International Fellow, Ford Foundation and Consultant, UNICEF was the Chief Guest for the session. The members of the club also took the pledge to make a stigma-free environment for the awareness and promotion of mental health around them, both in and out-campus. Ms. Riya Singh, Student, M.A. Applied Psychology, Semester I, Ms. Mushkan Kumari (Student, B.A. Mass Communication, Semester I), and Ms. Anu Shruti (Student, B.A. Economics, Semester III) were selected as the President, General Secretary, and Treasurer respectively for the functioning of the Club for the ongoing Academic Year.
MENTAL WELL-BEING CLUB: AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
1. To promote mental health awareness among the students at Patna Women’s College and extend to the community through them.
2. To work towards building and promotion of mental strength among students.
3. To provide a stigma-free space to discuss issues of mental health.
4. To spread awareness about national and international initiatives regarding mental health.
5. To act as bridge between Community Mental Health resources and College.
