Alumni Meet 2024
A Report
Patna Women’s College Alumni Association (PWCAA) organised the Annual Alumnae Meet on December 21st, 2024 (Saturday) at 4:30 p.m.in the Open Air Stage of the College.
The program started by the lighting of the lamp by the Principal and Chairperson Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C. with distinguished guest. Ms. Shweta Singh, Justice Anjana Mishra, Vice Principal Dr. Sister Tanisha A.C., Dr. Ameeta Jaiswal, President PWCAA and Prof. Shefali Roy, Secretary.

M. Rashmi A.C. welcomed the guests and said that Patna Women’s College lives in the heart of all the Alumni and they symbolise the brand of Patna Women’s College
Justice Anjana Mishra, Retd. Judge, Patna High Court and presently Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India and an Alumni of Patna Women’s College, English Hons, spoke about her experiences in the College and motivated the students to study law and become aware of their rights. She also requested the Principal to start the faculty of law in Patna Women’s College
The programme was followed by the presentation given the Vice Chairperson of the PWCAA, Dr. Ameeta Jaiswal in which she highlighted the achievements of the Alumni Association and requested more alumni to contribute to the welfare of the society through various kinds of Outreach Programme conducted by PWCAA and also register themselves on the Alumni Website. She added that any institution’s alumni are the key to its name, fame and growth. She said that the alumni of Patna Women’s College have adorned various administrative, judicial, medical, financial and other posts. The Alumni Association pledged to undertake more programmes for outreach community services, and career advancement courses and fund raising for establishing alumni endowment fund.
The PowerPoint presentation was prepared by Ms. Sushmita Chakraborty, Member, (PWCAA), Programme Coordinator PGDCA & Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Applications (MCA).
Thereafter Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C. Chairperson, felicitated some distinguished Alumnae for their achievement by offering shawls, saplings and mementos. The gala evening continued with a number of colourful performances by the teachers and students of the college. It included a Thematic dance performance, a contemporary dance performance and the grand finale in which the audience danced along with them.

The second edition of the College Newsletter “Melak” was also released on this occasion.
The program was compered by Dr. Zareen Fatima, Head, Dept. of Economics and Dr. Yosha Sinha, Assistant Professor, Dept. Advertising and Marketing Management The audience also enjoyed games organised by Ms. Meenakshi Assistant Professor, Dept. of Geography and thereafter alumni shared their experiences and remembered their college days in the corridors of the institution.Former Principal Dr. Sister M. Jessie A.C. were also present and some very senior Alumnae of the College were present.The program was attended by more than 500 alumni.
