CONNECT SESSION FOR WIPRO – Work Integrated Learning Program
The Department of Computer Science Patna Women’s College organised an industry connect program for the students of B.Sc final year from the departments of Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics and Physics. The resource person for this event was Mr Anurag Kirti, Region Lead (East and West) Global Campus Hiring Wipro Ltd..Ms. Manisha Prasad, Head, Department of Computer Science welcomed the resource person.
The session was focussed on Work Integrated Learning Program at WIPRO and how eligible students can craft their career at Wipro. Mr. Anurag Kirti discussed about the role of curiosity, communication skills, collaborations and continuous learning that leads to acquiring competencies, knowledge and skills for developing future opportunities. He also motivated the students to be passionate and develop diverse set of skills for a successful career. Approximately 150 students and all the faculty members from the Department of Computer Science attended the programme.

The Department of Computer Science, Patna Women’s College organized an Ad-making competition under the aegis of  Vigyan Utsav-2023 on the topic “Products for Global well being” on 26.02.2023. The programme began with a prayer song

The judges for this event were Ms. Madhuri Kumar, Senior sub editor Times group, Patna, Mr. Nikhil Prakash, CEO, Digital Cinematics and Ms. Roma, Head, Department of BMC, Patna Women’s College. Altogether twelve groups presented their video advertisements which focussed on eco-friendly and natural products for wellbeing of mankind.

All the judges praised the participants for their effort and also gave suggestions for improvising their content. Dr. Aprajita Krishna, Dean Faculty of Science and Convenor of Vigyan Utsav-2023 also applauded the participants for their creative presentations. Vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Anshu, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science. Compering was done by Ms. Shreya Sinha, student of Semester IV from the Department of Computer Science.

The Lecture was delivered by Dr. Parikshit Bansal , IP Educator and Ms. Kompal Bansal, Patent Agent, Intellectual  Property & Technology Cell. They explained the students about the importance and need of Intellectual Property Rights in our life ,copyright, Patents etc. They emphasised that whenever somebody comes up with an original concept or creation, there will always be those who want to copy it in order to profit financially. Therefore, we must protect our IP assets before they are unlawfully violated by any other party. Thus, a person can choose which kind of intellectual property protection (trademark, copyright, or patent registration) can be utilised to cover various sectors of intellectual property after studying the company requirement and conditions. All the students of BCA attended the guest lecture.

on 17th and 18th June 2020. The resource persons were Prof. Shashi Tyagi, Professor, Gargi
College, D.U., Dr. Rajendra Shinde, Principal, St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai and Dr. Tumul
Singh, Coordinator, Star College Scheme, Udai Pratap College. Different academicians from
different colleges of India participated in the webinar. The idea of this webinar was to familiarize
the participants as to how the funds provided to the educational institution together with good
governance provides a vibrant academic environment. it would serve as a platform to reaffirm
that the support to different Science Departments under the Star College Scheme has inculcated
inter-disciplinary teaching learning and research culture by holding innovative joint academic

The Department of Computer Science, Patna Women’s College organized a Hands on Training,
Under Star College Scheme, DBT on the topic Gesture Roboticsfor the students of BCA-IInd
Semester(2019-22), Patna Women’s College.During thetraining, the studentslearnt how to
develop a Hand Gesture controlled robot which is a wireless robot which can be controlled by
hand gesture i. e. by tilt of hand. The training was based on wireless communication. During the
training the students developed a robot car and learnt how the data from the hand gestures is
transmitted to the robot car over bluetooth. The project was divided into two parts: Receiver and
Transmitter. Transmitter part was worn in hand to transmit the gesture and the robot car received
those gestures and moved accordingly. They were given training on how to assemble a robot car
and add functionality to the car by coding usingGesture Robotics.Students attended and got
benefitted by this training.

Department of Computer Science (BCA), Patna Women’s College, organized an Alumni Meet on 22nd October, 2022.
The programme started with a welcome song and it was followed up by welcome dance. Then a welcome address was given by Head, Department of Computer Science Ms. Manisha Prasad while Dr. Ameeta Jaisawal, President, Alumni Association and Head, Department of Philosophy spoke about PWC Alumni Association contributions towards the society.
Thereafter, a drama was performed portraying the theme ‘College Life.’ Games like ‘Dumb charades’ and ‘Housie’ were conducted.
The alumni shared pleasant memories and nostalgic moments about the department and college at the time of experience sharing. The noted alumni were felicitated where Ms. Sonam Kumari was felicitated as the most supportive alumni. All the alumni were then presented with a souvenir.
The programme was moderated by Priya Sharan and Priya Vandana. The whole programme was sponsored by Aztech technology, Techpro labz, Sonal enterprises and India Book Centre.The program was concluded by Ms. Renu Kumari with the vote of thanks.
