Alumni Report 2022

Patna Women’s College, a premier institution, whose hallmark has always been Quality and Excellence organized an ‘Alumni Meet’ 21.12.2022 at 5:00 p.m. in the Open Air Stage. Around 250 alumni attended the meet. The event commenced with lighting of the lamp.

Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C., Principal, Patna Women’s College addressed the alumni and said that Patna Women’s College lives in the heart of every alumnus and they symbolize Patna Women’s. She expressed her good wishes to all the alumni present on the occasion and appreciated the efforts of Patna Women’s College Alumni Association in conducting the programmes.

President, Alumni Association, Dr. Ameeta Jaiswal, welcomed the guests who had come from different parts of the country attend the Alumni Meet. She said that any institution’s Alumni are key to its name, fame, and growth. Alumni of Patna Women’s College have adorned various Administrative, Judicial, Medical, Financial, and other posts. The Alumni Association Patna Women’s College wished to undertake more programmes for Outreach Community Services, Online and Career Advancement Courses and Fund Raising for establishing Alumnae Endowment Fund. Through a PowerPoint presentation she along with her team by Ms. Sushmita Chakraborty, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Computer Applications (MCA), and Ms Renu, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Computer Science. showed the extension services conducted by the alumni and informed about the Jamshedpur, Delhi, and Mumbai chapters of PWC.

Dr. Manjari Jaruhar, IPS, Ms. Shruti Anandita Verma, Film-maker from Mumbai, Dr. Veena Singh, Head, Department of Plastic Surgery and Burns, AIIMS, Patna, Dr. Ravi Kiran Sharma, Retd. Professor of Geography, P.U. and Ms Neeta Sahay, teacher, were felicitated and honoured by
Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C., by giving a memento, shawl, and a sapling.

Ms. Fiza Drakshan, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Political Science and Ms. Poonam A. Lakra, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Computer Applications (MCA).  They were the M.C. for the programme.

A welcome song was then performed by the alumni teachers. of Patna Women’s College (PWCAA).

Dr. Sister M. Tanisha A.C., Vice-Principal, Patna Women’s College, and Dr. Sister Liceria A.C., Former Principal, Patna Women’s College were also present. The first edition of the Newsletter of PWC Alumni Association, ‘MELAK’ was released. A group dance by the alumni teachers were presented. Dr. Manjula Sushila, Head, Department of Hindi, conducted games for the alumni, then the Alumna shared their experience.

The thematic dance was choreographed by Ms. Samiksha Sinha, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Sociology together with Ms. Enakshi Dey Biswas, Coordinator, Performing Arts.

The student Council Members through a dance performance dedicated a few songs to the beautiful women present.

The event came to end with a tour of Mother Veronica Auditorium (in the making), followed  by a  grand dinner…
