About Central Research Laboratory (CRL)
It’s with pride we introduce Central Research Laboratory (CRL) of Patna Women’s College to one and all.
A Central Research Laboratory is of utmost importance in any academic institution where the state-of-the-art analytical and high-priced equipment are kept together at a single location and are handled by qualified personnel to provide scientific and technical services for supporting research carried out by UG, PG, PhD and other project students. It strengthens the research-relevant infrastructure of basic science and technology. This kind of facility represents a key commitment for preserving and raising the efficiency of research to the level of international standards.
The Central Research Laboratory (CRL) was established in October 2014 with the financial support given by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Govt. of Bihar. The idea being that high priced instruments which may not be available to young budding scientists and researchers in individual laboratories which can be made available at the Central Research Laboratory. In this connection, the independent laboratory, the CRL of Patna Women’s College has the most modern and sophisticated equipment to users of the ever-expanding number of UG and PG students and researchers with various needs.
Our future endeavor will be to make this facility available to other academic and research institutions, industries and organizations in the neighborhood.
- Organizes workshops for the students of other colleges.
- Outreach programmes for the students of Science Departments.
- There are facilities to carry out research work for Ph.D. scholars.
- Undergraduate students carry out research project under CPE and BSR schemes of UGC
Thrust areas: Ecotoxicology, Immunology, Microbiology, Plant Tissue Culture, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Archaeological artefacts, Nanoscience and Material Science.
