On 25th June 2025, at 11:00am ,a solemn and thought-provoking state-level programme was organized at Adhiveshan Bhawan, Patna, on the occasion of the observance of Samvidhan Hatya Diwas. The event was conducted under the aegis of the Department of Art, Culture and Youth (Directorate of Cultural Affairs), Government of Bihar, to reflect upon and raise awareness regarding constitutional values and democratic responsibility.

A total of 12 volunteers from Patna Women’s College, associated with the National Service Scheme (NSS), participated in the programme with great enthusiasm, discipline, and a sense of civic duty.

The event was graced by the esteemed presence of the Deputy Chief Ministers of Bihar, Shri Vijay Kumar Sinha and Shri Samrat Choudhary, who addressed the gathering with powerful and inspiring words. They emphasized that the youth of the nation possess the voice and strength to speak up and safeguard the Constitution. Both leaders encouraged students to remain alert, learn from the past, and actively participate in protecting democratic values.

In addition to the Chief Guests, several eminent dignitaries, intellectuals, and government officials participated, emphasizing the significance of preserving constitutional integrity and promoting civic responsibility among citizens, especially students and young volunteers.

The discussions and speeches revolved around the relevance of the Indian Constitution, the role of youth in safeguarding democracy, and the dangers posed by constitutional neglect. Thoughtful presentations, cultural performances, and social narratives enriched the event’s impact.

The NSS volunteers of Patna Women’s College contributed actively by maintaining decorum, assisting with coordination, and participating in the reflective sessions with sincerity. Their presence added to the disciplined and respectful atmosphere of the programme, reflecting the core values of the National Service Scheme.

The NSS unit of Patna Women’s College is proud to have been a part of such a significant and meaningful event. It offered an opportunity to honor the Constitution, engage in civic learning, and strengthen the spirit of service, unity, and national commitment.
