An online faculty exchange programme

An online faculty exchange programme was conducted by Department of Home Science, Patna Women’s College in collaboration with St Ann’s College for Women, Osmania University, Hyderabad on 03.04.2023 at 11:30 am. The expert lecture was by Dr. Meena Patangay, Dean Administration and Head of Department, Department of Nutrition. Opening remarks for the lecture and welcome message was stated by Dr. Sister M. Tanisha A.C., Head, Department of Home Science. The topic of lecture was “Understanding and overcoming eating disorders: Strategies for recovery”. She explained about the types of eating disorders, prevalence, symptoms and its multifactorial nature. She also spoke about the health consequences of eating disorders. She focused on assessment and treatment strategies of eating disorders. There was a brief question and answer session at the end of the lecture. The session was moderated by Dr. Shazia Husain, Assistant Professor, Department of Home Science. MA & BA students and faculty of Department of Home Science attended the lecture.
