Application of Statistics in Modernizing Census Data Analysis
The Department of Statistics, Patna Women’s College (Autonomous) conducted PWC ALUMNI CONNECT on 23.08.2024 at 11:00 a.m.
The guest speaker for this event was an eminent alumna Ms. Aditi Anand (2018-2021), B.Sc. Statistics Hons. positioned at the post of Statistical Investigator, Grade-II (Directorate of Census Operations, Bihar) under Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.
She took a session on “Application of Statistics in Modernizing Census Data Analysis”, where she explained the importance and role of Statistics in the the Census Operations, how its conducted and the various procedures for it.
She shared her experiences, success stories and connected with the students, motivating them for their future endeavours.
Ms. Moon Head, Department of Statistics, thanked her with a plant sapling as a token of appreciation and gratitude. Dr. Amit Kumar , Ms.Monika Rashmi, Ms. Fatma Wajiha, Assistant Professors of Department of Statistics were present in the session.
All the students of Semester I, Semester III and Semester V actively participated.
All in all it was a very insightful session where every single person in the room gained ample of knowledge and had enriching experience.
