Cooking competition on Fermented Food

The Department of Home Science of Patna Women’s College, Autonomous, Patna University in collaboration with Zaika- “The Cookery Club” organized a cooking competition on Fermented Food on September 20, 2024. The esteemed judges of the competition were Dr. Shobha Srivastava, Head, Department of Zoology and Dr. Nupur Sinha,Assistant professor Department of Psychology, Patna Women’s College. The students prepared a number of traditional fermented recipes which was highly appreciated by the judges. The most popular ones among the recipes were Idli and Dosa (South India) and Siddu (Himachal Pradesh). The students participated with great enthusiasm and the event was a huge success. The first position was grabbed by Aadya Singh and Juli, second position went to Rina Kumari, Khushbu Kumari, Lalita Kumari where as Neha Kumari, Ananya Gupata and Heba Nazir secured the third prize. Rashmi Kumari, Antara Som, Pribola Kindu grabbed the consolation prize. The entire event was meticulously handled under the guidance of Dr. Sister M Tanisha A.C., Head, Department of Home Science, Patna Women’s College. The programme was coordinated under the guidance of Dr. Sunita Kumari, Assistant Professor, Department of Home Science. All the faculty members of the Department of Home Science were also present during the entire event.
