Brief Report:

A Guest Lecture was organised by the Department of Psychology, Patna Women’s College to celebrate the World Mental Health Day. It was organised for the UG & PG students (Semester I), to spread awareness about stress and ways to handle it. During the lecture, Dr. Shruti Narain discussed the relationship between mental health and emotion. She explained how clothing can affect our mood and self-esteem, and how dressing well can help us feel more confident and in control and how our emotions play a vital role with our dressing.
Dr. Shruti Narain also discussed the challenges that many people face when it comes to balancing their mental health with their appearance. She shared her own experiences with stress and provided practical tips for managing these conditions while still looking and feeling our best. The lecture was interactive, as well as encouraging questions and discussion from the participants. Many attendees shared their own experiences and insights, and there was a lively exchange of ideas and perspectives.
Conclusion: The online lecture on “Stressed, Depressed, Yet Well Dressed” was a valuable and informative event. Dr. Shruti Narain provided practical advice for balancing mental health with emotion and outlook, and her presentation sparked meaningful discussion among the participants.
