October 25, 2024 marked the first day of the 3-day Annual Techno Cultural Fest-Virasat 2024, with the College Day celebration organized by Patna Women’s College (Autonomous) Patna University, with much joy and gaiety for the students of the college in the Open-Air Stage Hall. The event commenced with the hoisting of the college flag which was followed by the College Anthem. A mesmerizing prayer dance submerged the audience in the essence of spiritualism which was followed by a group welcome song. Dr. Sister M Rashmi AC, Principal, Patna Women’s College encouraged and motivated the students by manifesting the lines, “Patna Women’s College is an epitome of excellence, culture, discipline and empowerment”. Thereafter, the much anticipated and most awaited Miss PWC contest took place. The contest comprised of three rounds. The contestants presented different states in the round one, which was followed by a punjabi folk dance. The round two was a written round where the former was supposed to portray their writing skills in a limited time afterwhich, Bihar folk song was presented by the students.The final round was an on-the spot question round where the judges asked relevant questions. Thereafter, RJ Shreyansh led up the arena with his energetic performance. To our VIRASAT culture, a new addition took place for the very first time in the history of Patna Women’s College as the teachers presented a surprise Ramp Walk Show to promote Khadi that amazed the entire audience. The jury members for the Miss PWC Contest 2024 were Dr. Shailaja Sinha, Head, Department of Sanskrit, Ram Krishna Dwarika College, Patliputra University, Patna; RJ Shreyansh, Red FM. 93.5 and Dr Pallawi Ambreesh Kumar, Head, Department of Business Administration, Patna Women’s College. The winners of Miss PWC Contest 2024 were Shreyashvi Raj(winner); Ayesha Singh (1st Runner Up) and Riya Singh (2nd Runner Up). The cultural coordinators Ms. Enakahi Dey Biswas, Coordinator, Performing Arts, Ms. Puja Kumari, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce coordinated the event with utmost dedication which made the event a success.

On the occasion of Virasat: College Day 2023 Patna Women’s College enthusiastically organized Miss PWC Contest and A Folk Song Competition with much joy and gaiety on 11th November, 2023 from 09:30 A.M. onwards for the students of the college in the open-air stage hall. The event continued for more than four hours. The event commenced with the hoisting of the college flag which was followed by the college anthem.
A mesmerizing prayer dance submerged the audience in the essence of spiritualism. Dr. Ameeta Jaiswal, Dean, Humanities and Social Science and Head, Department of Philosophy encouraged and motivated the students by manifesting the lines. “Patna Women’s College is an epitome of excellence culture discipline and empowerment”.
Thereafter, the much anticipated and most awaited Miss PWC contest took place. The contest comprised of three rounds. The contestants presented themselves in the round one, which was followed by two folk song performances. The round two was a writing round where the former was supposed to portray their writing skills in a limited time afterwhich two more groups performed folk songs. The final round was an on-the spot question round where the judges asked relevant questions. Furthermore, the last group of the folk song competition performed their folk song. The jury members for the Miss PWC contest 2023 were Prof. Shefali Roy, Director, Public Administration, Patna University, Patna, Dr. Shailaja Sinha, Head, Department of Sanskrit, Ram Krishna Dwarika College, Patliputra University, Patna and Mr. Adweetiya Sinha, Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science, Patna Women’s College. The respectable jury members for Folk Song Competition were Dr. Manjula Sushila, Head dept of Hindi
Dr. Smita kumari, head dept of Sanskrit, Ms. Sushmita Chakraborty, assistant prof, dept of computer applications MCA. The results for the Folk Song Competition were declared by Dr. Manjula Sushila, Head, Department of Hindi where Code 3 (Geography) bagged the first prize. Code 5 (Physics) won the second prize and Code 4 (History) was given the third prize. The winners of Miss PWC Contest 2023 were Jahanvi Sinha ( winner) ; Anjali Rajshree (1st Runner Up) and Shagun Chandra (2nd Runner Up). Cultural Coordinators Ms. Enakshi Dey Biswas, Coordinator, Performing Arts, Ms. Samiksha Sinha, Assistant Professor, Department of Sociology and Ms. Puja Kumari, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce coordinated the event with utmost dedication which made the event a success. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Ishita Upadhaya, Vice-Premier, Student Council 2023-24. The event was moderated by Purbasha Bhaduri and Vaishnavi, Patna Women’s College.

The event took place in the open-air stage hall and was exclusively for the college students. The festivities commenced with the hoisting of the college flag, followed by the college anthem, a captivating prayer dance, and a welcoming song. Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C., Principal of Patna Women’s College, delivered an inspiring speech, encouraging and motivating the students. She emphasized that Patna Women’s College stands as a symbol of excellence, culture, discipline, and empowerment. The highlight of the event was the highly anticipated Miss PWC contest. The contest consisted of three rounds. In the first round, the contestants presented themselves, showcasing their unique qualities. The second round involved a writing task where the participants demonstrated their writing skills within a limited time. Finally, the last round featured an on-the-spot question round, where the judges asked relevant questions. Additionally, a captivating classical dance performance was presented by a group of students, along with other performances including a solo song, a folk dance, a dance drama, and a Western song. The esteemed jury members for the Miss PWC contest 2022 were Prof. Shefali Roy, Director of Public Administration at Patna University, Patna; Dr. Shailaja Sinha, Head of the Department of Sanskrit at Ram Krishna Dwarika College, Patliputra University, Patna; and Mr. Alok John, Dean of National and International Collaborations and Consultancy Services at Patna Women’s College, Autonomous, Patna University. The entire event was moderated by the Student Council of 2022-23. The academic sponsors for the event included Mind Sculptor IAS, Chanakya IAS Academy, and many others. Under the guidance of Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C., the Principal of Patna Women’s College, and with the coordination of the Cultural Coordinators, Sister Celine Crasta A.C., the Head of the History Department, Ms. Enakshi Dey Biswas, the Coordinator of Performing Arts, and Ms. Samiksha Sinha, Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology, the event was meticulously organized and dedicatedly executed, ensuring its success.
