Brief Report –
With great enthusiasm, Patna Women’s College (Autonomous) celebrated “Virasat,” College Day 2022 on 12th November 2022, starting from 09:45 A.M. The event took place in the open-air stage hall and was exclusively for the college students. The festivities commenced with the hoisting of the college flag, followed by the college anthem, a captivating prayer dance, and a welcoming song. Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C., Principal of Patna Women’s College, delivered an inspiring speech, encouraging and motivating the students. She emphasized that Patna Women’s College stands as a symbol of excellence, culture, discipline, and empowerment. The highlight of the event was the highly anticipated Miss PWC contest. The contest consisted of three rounds. In the first round, the contestants presented themselves, showcasing their unique qualities. The second round involved a writing task where the participants demonstrated their writing skills within a limited time. Finally, the last round featured an on-the-spot question round, where the judges asked relevant questions. Additionally, a captivating classical dance performance was presented by a group of students, along with other performances including a solo song, a folk dance, a dance drama, and a Western song. The esteemed jury members for the Miss PWC contest 2022 were Prof. Shefali Roy, Director of Public Administration at Patna University, Patna; Dr. Shailaja Sinha, Head of the Department of Sanskrit at Ram Krishna Dwarika College, Patliputra University, Patna; and Mr. Alok John, Dean of National and International Collaborations and Consultancy Services at Patna Women’s College, Autonomous, Patna University. The entire event was moderated by the Student Council of 2022-23. The academic sponsors for the event included Mind Sculptor IAS, Chanakya IAS Academy, and many others. Under the guidance of Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C., the Principal of Patna Women’s College, and with the coordination of the Cultural Coordinators, Sister Celine Crasta A.C., the Head of the History Department, Ms. Enakshi Dey Biswas, the Coordinator of Performing Arts, and Ms. Samiksha Sinha, Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology, the event was meticulously organized and dedicatedly executed, ensuring its success.
