Abstract : Genome wide analysis of MYC2 and NINJA genes in pearl millet focusing on their involvement in auxin signalling and its potential contributions to abiotic stress tolerance. The study suggests that a key connection between these genes in abiotic stress tolerance in pearl millet, shedding light on their significance for the plant’s resilience in challenging environmental conditions. Pearl millet is an important small-grained cereal crop which is highly cross-pollinated diploid grain. Pearl millet also enhances the capacity for anti-oxidant enzyme activity, which helps
in detoxifying harmful metals. Auxin is a plant hormone that significantly plays important role in plant growth, root development, shoot growth and abiotic stress responses. MYC2 and NINJA genes play key roles in and auxin signalling in plants including pearl millet. NINJA gene acts as a transcriptional repressor and act as a negative regulators of auxin responses. Here, the role of auxin in cadmium toxicity tolerance in pearl millet has been studied.
