The Department of Computer Applications (MCA) organised a Seminar cum Placement Drive on “Internship Based Hiring Programme by Career Labs Skill Assure (CLSA)”. Dr. Bhawna Sinha, HOD, Department of Computer Applications (MCA) gave an introduction of the resource person Mr. Satish Anand, North India Regional Head, Career Labs Technologies. He was accompanied by Mr. Devesh Goel, Placement Coordinator and Educational Counsellors Mr. Navneet &
Mr. Saurav.
Mr. Satish Anand, who is also a Josh Talks Speaker, International Author and Soft Skills Trainer, addressed the students of MCA-IIIrd and Ist semester. He gave information about Career Labs which is a Higher Education Partner of AICTE and one of the fastest growing start-ups. He talked about the Skill gap between the Academics and the Industry due to which the graduates are not getting placed in the industry. There is an urgent need to bridge this gap. In today’s world, companies evaluate on three parameters, Problem solving, Communication and Ability to deliver results. CLSA Internship Based Hiring Programme exclusively offers an Internship Based Hiring Programme for the graduates to get paid while getting trained. They are working with the students across the engineering colleges in the country to help them shape their careers. He gave detailed information about the 10 month talent acceleration programme that enables the students to get upskilled with technical and soft skills to make them job-ready. The seminar was quite fruitful and the students were highly benefitted and well-informed about the recent skills required to prosper in the current industry.
The seminar was followed by an Internship Aptitude Test and Online Interview for the final year students.
