An educational tour 2024

An educational tour was organized by the Department of Botany, Patna Womens College (Autonomous ), on 12th March 2024 (Tuesday) to “Sanjay Gandhi Jaivik Udyan”.
The tour comprised students of Botany Semester IV accompanied by faculty members Dr. Urvashi Sinha and Dr. Hena Naz ( Dept. of Botany) and also two lab assistants Mr. Aditya kumar and Mr.Shayam Babu.
The purpose of this visit was to expand botanical knowledge , to observe the vegetation for density and abundance , to study about vegetative, floral characters and medicinal plants and collection of Herbarium .
The botanical garden showcased an interesting array of plant species including rare and endangered ones.
Teacher’s provided insightful information about the botanical garden and the diverse plant collections it houses. The visit proved to be an enriching experience for the students as well as for teachers. It also developed an appreciation for the importance of natural resources and the role that botanical gardens play in preserving endangered species .
