Brief Report:

Every year, Patna Women’s College, (Autonomous), holds its Annual Sports Meet. In 2018, the Sports Meet took place on November 29th. The esteemed Chief Guest for the event was Prof. Rash Bihari Singh, the Vice Chancellor of Patna University. Prof. Dolly Sinha, the Pro-Vice Chancellor of Patna University, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. The event was further graced by Col. Manoj Mishra, the Registrar of Patna University, and Mrs. Smriti Singh, Head Coach of the Central Board of Cricket Ahmedabad, as Special Guests. The Sports Meet commenced with the College Flag being hoisted, followed by the flagship March Past. It saw active participation from the undergraduate 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year students of all departments, as well as postgraduate students, who also competed in various track and field events. The 1st-year students showcased their skills in Yoga demonstrations, while the 2nd-year students impressed everyone with their Aerobic performances. The students also engaged in various Track and Field Events, such as 100-mts Hurdles, 100-mts sprint, 200-mts run, 800-mts run, and many more. An exciting part of the event was the involvement of the teaching and non-teaching staff, along with a total of 3900 students, who came together for the Grand Finale. Following the culmination of the competitions, a Prize Distribution Ceremony was held to honor the winners. The event reached its conclusion with a  March Past featuring UG 3rd-year and PG students, NCC Cadets, and NSS volunteers. The entire event was smoothly coordinated by Dr. Manjula Sushila, Head, Department of Hindi and Sports Coordinator, and Ms. Quazi Bushra Ahmad, the Sports Teacher of Patna Women’s College(Autonomous),. Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C., the Principal of Patna Women’s College, (Autonomous), supervised the entire proceedings.
