 Brief Report :

Every year, Patna Women’s College (Autonomous)  organizes its Annual Sports Meet. This year, the event took place on December 17, 2022. The distinguished Chief Guest for the occasion was Prof. Chandrashekhar, the Honorable Minister of Education in the Government of Bihar, and the Guest of Honour was Prof. Girish Kumar Chaudhary, the Honorable Vice Chancellor of Patna University. The programme commenced with the hoisting of the College Flag, followed by an impressive March Past and a wide range of sports events in which students from the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes   from various departments actively participated. The first-year students showcased their skills through a Yoga demonstration, while the second-year students performed an energetic Dandiya dance. Additionally, the students enthusiastically engaged in various track and field competitions, including the 100-meters Hurdles, 100-meters, 200-meters, and 800-meters Sprint Races, among others. The grand finale brought together teaching and non-teaching staff, along with 4,500 students, to celebrate the spirit of sportsmanship. The event concluded with a Prize Distribution Ceremony, followed by a magnificent March Past performed by the third-year undergraduate and all the postgraduate students, accompanied by NCC and NSS volunteers and the PWC College Band. The coordination of the event was effectively managed by Dr. Manjula Sushila, the Head of the Department of Hindi and Sports Coordinator, and Ms. Shweta Singh, Sports Teacher at Patna Women’s College (Autonomous). The entire program was conducted under the diligent supervision of Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C., Principal, Patna Women’s College (Autonomous) .
