AWARENESS PROGRAM ON HEALTH AND HYGIENE

An awareness program was conducted by the students of Department of
Biotechnology, Patna women’s College at Chaminade Training Institute, Patna for
the rag picker children. The objective of the awareness program was to make the
children aware about the different methods of maintaining good health and proper
hygiene. The program was moderated by Dr. Arti Kumari (Head of the
Department). Students of 1 st and 3 rd semester enthusiastically participated.1 st
Semester students explained the children about the good habits need to be followed
for maintaining proper health and hygiene by the act. Similarlry, students of 3 rd
semester performed nukkadnatak to address the importance of good health. Apart
from these activities quiz and some fun games were also conducted to enhance the
understanding about the theme. Dr Vivek Raj, Dr Alok Ranjan, and Dr. Premlata
Kumari, Assistant Professor, Department of Biotechnology and Mr Ashish Kumar,
non teaching staff of the department also participated and managed the entire
activity to make the event successful.
