Brief report –
Patna Women’s College’s Virtual Christmas Celebration 2020 was held on Tuesday, 22nd December, 2020, streamed through the college’s YouTube channel. To set the celebratory mood, second-year students presented a captivating classical prayer dance performance to the melodious song, “Vo hi Ishwar tha” (He was God Himself). Principal Dr. Sr. M. Rashmi A.C. Principal, Patna Women’s College then delivered a speech highlighting the unique nature of this year’s Christmas celebration. She extended warm wishes for a joyous and prosperous Christmas and New Year, expressing gratitude to everyone involved in planning and executing the program with grace, which contributed to its success. The principal concluded her speech by commending the participants for their efforts. The program continued with a spirited Carol Singing competition, featuring the participation of the Microbiology, Geography, Sociology, Zoology, and History departments. The jury members, Father Josey Mathias S.J. (Director, Prabhat Prakashan), Sister Soni Lakra A.C. (Coordinator, Carmel School), and Dr. Sister M. Saroj A.C. (Assistant Professor, Department of Education, Patna Women’s College), were highly impressed with the performances and declared code 14 as the winners in the English category, with code 8 and 7 securing the first and second runner-up positions, respectively. In the Hindi category, code 12 emerged as the winners, while code 3 and 15 were the runner-ups. Adapting to the COVID situation, the entire process, from the procedures to the competition, was conducted online.
