COSMOS QUEST-2024
On the occassion of National Space Day, Dept. of Physics organised two days event named “COSMOS QUEST-2024”.The second day started with pledge headed by Dr. Riekshika Sanwari, Asst. Professor, Department of Physics, for students to take active participation in space programs and work to take forward Indian space programs. There was a short film making competition on the theme showcasing ISRO’S vision for advancement at 11:00 am in MVEIC Hall, students actively participated in the event . There were 10 groups including 2 students each.The jury members included Mr. Ajay Kumar Jha from the Department of Mass Communication and Mrs. Renu Kumari from the Department of Computer Application.The first position was secured by Ananya Pandey and Kaushiki Kumari from the Department of Physics, Second position by Megha Jha and Shubhangini from the Department of Zoology, Third position by Pragati Kumari and Aayushi Singh from the Department of Artificial intelligence & Machine Learning.The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Amrita, Asst.Professor Department of Physics.
Thenafter the Prize Distribution Ceremony took place at 1:00 pm in MVEIC Hall. The esteemed guests were Dr. Sister M Rashmi A.C., Principal, Patna Women’s College, Dr. Ameeta Jaiswal, Dean, Faculty of Arts & Head Department of Philosophy, Dr. Shobha Shrivastava, Dean, Faculty of Science & Head Department of Zoology, and Dr. Kavita Verma, Head, Department of Physics. All the faculty members of the Department of Physics and the teachers from Govt. boys senior secondary school, Rajendra Nagar, Patna, Bihar were also present. The event kicked off with a prayer song followed by the address to the gathering by Dr. Kavita Verma, Head Department of Physics. Then Dr. Sister M Rashmi A.C., Principal, Patna Women’s College addressed the gathering. A video was played visualising the glimpses of all the events. The winners were then awarded. It was a very compelling event. The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Amrita, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics.
