A poster competition was organised by Department of Biotechnology, Patna Women’s College (Autonomous) on 03/11/2023 on the theme “Role of Women Entrepreneur in Biological Science”. The students participated with great zeal. It enhanced their knowledge and curiosity as well as their presentation skills. A total of 6 groups participated in this competition. Students presented about various women entrepreneurs working and contributing in the field of biotechnology, namely Mrs. Kiran Mazumdar- Shaw, Dr. Renu Swarup, Dr. Sudha Bhattacharya, Dr. Preetha Reddy, Mrs. Suchitra Ellaetc. in the field “Biological Sciences. The evaluation was done by Dr. Soofia Fatima (Dean, Faculty of Commerce & Dr. Jaya Philip (Head, Department of Microbiology). They examined each poster and imparted additional knowledge to students for betterment. Group-D was winner who presented Mrs. Kiran Mazumdar- Shaw as women entrepreneur, participants were Farheen Firdaus, Benazir Fatima, Pallavi Rani, Suman Kumari, Ankita Kumari
The event was a successfully held. All the winners were given certificate and other participants received participation certificate for this event. The entire event was organized under the supervision of Dr. Arti Kumari (HOD, Department of Biotechnology). Dr Premlata Kumari, Assistant Professor, Department of Biotechnology, meticulously guided all the students for the entire event. Dr Vivek Raj and Dr Alok Ranjan, Assistant professors of the Department, encouraged students for their participation in such events and also imparted their valuable inputs and feedback for the improvement in future. Mr. Ashish Kumar, non- teaching staff of the department also gave his significant contributions in managing the event.
