 Brief Report:

 Cancer is rapidly becoming a global pandemic, and building people’s consciousness about it has become the need of the hour. In light of this, the Department of Education, Patna Women’s College, organized a Cancer Awareness Programme in partnership with Cancer Care and Cure Public Charitable Trust on 20th July 2019. The Objectives of the programme were:

  • To learn about the signs and symptoms of Cancer
  • To develop consciousness about different forms of cancer among Women
  • To develop healthy lifestyle habits to prevent cancer.

The programme was directed towards enhancing knowledge of this pernicious disease among the staff and students alike. The spokesperson Dr. Arvind Kumar, DM, Oncology, Buddha Cancer Centre, Patna elucidated the different signs and symptoms of cancer prevalent in women. He encouraged everyone to seek prompt medical attention on detection of the symptoms. The programme ended with the Head and Dean of the department thanking the organization and spokesperson for the beneficial information provided by him.
