On 14th July 2024, The students of department of Social Work participated in marching with pride and leading the annual pride parade of dostanasafar, Bihar, making a notable impact. Students from the department of social work, history and sociology along with the esteemed faculty members Dr. Mridul Mishra, Head, Department of Social Work, Dr. Asha Sharma, Assistant Professor, Department of History and Ms. Komal Assistant professor, Department of Sociology actively participated in this significant event. The students demonstrated their solidarity with the transgender community, advocating for equality and opportunities for all, which are essential for the overall development of society.

This programme was organised in collaboration with Ms. Reshma Prasad, transgender council member.  Dr sister M. Rashmi A.C, Principal, Patna Women’s College, Dr Sister M. Tanisha A.C, Vice Principal, Patna Women’s College, Dr. Sister Celine Crasta A.C, Cultural Coordinator and Head, Department of History, Sister Jincy A.C and all the sisters of Patna Women’s College who has always been pioneers and real change makers in providing unwavering support to the transgender community and has contributed significantly for promoting their  equality, inclusivity and empowerment within society.
