The students were placed in a slum named “Shahagadi Mashjit”, behind Haj Area, Patna under the supervision of Mr. Shubham , Team Head, Being Helper Organisation where they conducted a survey to find out the people suffering from Cataract , and also they were placed in govt school nearby where they interacted with the primary classes students and took learning session on ‘Good Touch and Bad Touch’ Children learn from touch. From the very early stages of life, touch conveys communication and discovery, teaching children about it and providing appropriate touch is part of the responsibilities as an early educator so this remedial class was very helpful for the small children’s of the school. The Social Work students had a great learning experience while interacting and collecting data with the slum people and also during the awareness generation sessions conducted for the school childrens.
The whole programme was coordinated by Dr. Mridul Mishra, Head, Department of Social Work, Patna Women’s College.
