Brief Report:

The Department of Education, Patna Women’s College, organized a guest lecture cum interactive session for its final year teacher trainees on 25th February 2022. The Objectives of the programme were:

  • To learn the nuances of school teaching
  • To enrich students’ knowledge about the profession of teaching
  • To develop an understanding of work culture, norms, and rules of the school teaching atmosphere

The guest lecture consisted of eminent speakers like Mr. V. Vinod, Principal of Delhi Public School, Miss Namrata Prasad, Headmistress of the Junior wing of Delhi Public School, and Miss Chetna Jha, Head of Teacher, and student life of DPS. The speakers motivated the teacher trainees to think innovatively while teaching the students. He stressed activity-based learning. Mr. Vinod explained about DPS, Patna, through a short and informative video. It showed the methodologies being followed from pre-primary to higher classes. He emphasized the need for the all-round development of students through community-based learning. It was a source of motivation for all the teacher trainees before our campus selection.
