Hindi Diwas
Topic: ‘Importance of Hindi Language in Journalism’

On the occasion of Hindi Diwas, the Department of Mass Communication of Patna Women’s College organized an on-spot writing and speech competition on September 14 titled “Importance of Hindi Language in Journalism”. The students of the department appeared very enthusiastic about this competition and also presented their creative style through their skills.
In this competition, all the students of semester 1 and 5 of the department and all the post-graduate students of the department participated. The faculty members Ms Ankita, Ms Aprajita Pathak and Head, Mass Communication of the department, Ms Roma led the competition and gave 1 minute for speech and 10 minutes for writing. The results were declared the next day in which Richa Sharma, Muskan Kumari and Nidhi Kumari of Semester 5 stood first, second and third respectively in the speech competition and Antara Singh of Semester 1 and Vandana, Sanchita and Shashikala of Manali and Post Graduate students won the first and second positions respectively in the writing competition.
