International Biodiversity Day-2024

On the occasion of International Biodiversity Day, the Department of Zoology and ECO Task Force, Patna Women’s College, Autonomous, Patna University, organized an awareness programme on Conservation Strategies for Wild Animals on Zoom platform on 22.05.2024 at 6.30 PM.
Biological diversity is a global asset of tremendous value to future generations.
The number of species is being significantly reduced by certain human activities. Given the importance of education and awareness about this issue, the Department of Zoology organized this programme.
The students of UG Semester II and IV, Department of Zoology, PWC participated by painting their faces as wild animals and making posters on biodiversity.
They spoke about the status of endangered animals and their conservation strategies.
The teachers present on the occasion were Dr. Shobha Shrivastava, Head, Department of Zoology and Vice-president ECO Task Force, Dr Sumeet Ranjan, Dr Sapna Kumari, Dr Neetu and Mr Rajeev Ranjan, Assistant Professors, Department of Zoology, Patna Women’s College, Autonomous.
