Brief Report:

The Department of Communicative English and Media Studies at Patna Women’s College organised a Media Workshop on the topic “Language of Cinema and Satyajit Ray”. Dr. Tauseef Hassan, Head of the Department of Communicative English and Media Studies welcomed the guest speaker with a token of appreciation.

The Guest Speaker, Prashant Ranjan, Coordinator of Patliputra Cine society and Faculty of Mass communication, Patna University delivered an insightful session on “Artistic and technical aspects of Cinema as a language of expression”. The workshop began with an overview of the basic elements of Film Language. It also explored various aspects of Satyajit Ray’s movies and the influence of Italian Neo-Realism on his work. Overall, the media workshop was a valuable learning experience that provided students with a deeper understanding of the art and craft of filmmaking. The session took place under the supervision of Dr. Tauseef Hassan, Ms. Runa and Mr. Prashant Ravi.
