The Department of Home Science had conducted an online personality development class on 28.04.2023, for UG (Semester II) and PG (Semester II) students. Dr. Shazia Husain was the facilitator of the personality class. Short inspirational video was shown to the students depicting the negative impacts of mobile phones. Excessive use of smartphones can make children antisocial and self-centered and reduce their interpersonal communication with their family members and cause deterioration in mental and physical capability i.e., children may lose their interest in study and physical activity like playing outdoor game can also get reduced. The sleeping pattern of the children also get impaired by the excessive use of smartphone. The video portrays self-realization which is very important for successful and fulfilled life. The students share their personal experience regarding the same.
