The economic forum, ECOSPECTRUM, Department of Economics conducted a workshop on the topic “Practical Skills for Entrepreneurial Development” on February 17, 2024, in Carmel Hall. It was attended by the faculty members and students of semesters II and IV of Department of Economics. The guest speaker was Mr. Alok Kumar, CEO and Founder of Paavni Organic Farms. In the workshop, he spoke about the useful applications of entrepreneurial knowledge and offered his experience and lessons learned from his entrepreneurial career. While discussing his own experience in establishing Paavni Organic Farms, he outlined several critical processes that included: identifying the problem, coming up with a workable solution that takes into account technological, economic, and legal feasibility; estimating the market’s size and identifying any loop holes that need to be worked upon; allocating resources; and, finally, expanding the market. The workshop was highly interactive and beneficial for the students.
