PWC Alumni Connect Programme 2024

On September 2, 2024, the Department of Social Work, Patna Women’s College (Autonomous) Patna University organized an interactive session under the initiative of “PWC Alumni Connect Programme”. The topic of the session was “Enhancing Community Engagement: Challenges and Strategies”. Ms. Vartika Raj, Project Coordinator, HelpAge India Foundation was the Alumni Speaker for this event. The event started with the welcome address by the Head of Department, Dr. Mridul Mishra, the alumni speaker Ms. Vartika, explained the audience about the concept of community engagement, it’s challenges while working on the field and also how to overcome these challenges with the strategies and best practices. She explained the importance of community engagement and the various steps to enhance the process. She also shared the glimpses of her field work and research projects with the audience and her experiences in the field. Towards the end the session was open for question answer section, thereafter, a token of appreciation was presented to the Alumni speaker Ms. Vartika Raj for her fruitful and innovative session by the esteemed faculty members Dr. Mridul Mishra, Head, Department of Social Work and Sr. Sanjana A.C., Assistant Professor, Department of Social Work. The session ended with the vote of thanks proposed by Ramandeep Kaur, student, Sem I, M. A. In Social Work. The whole event was moderated by Bharti Chauhan, student, Sem – 1, M. A in Social Work, Patna Women’s College.
