Report on Anti-ragging week activities-2023
Patna Women’s College ( Autonomous ) extended the support to fight ragging and observed Anti – Ragging Week from 12th August 2023 to 18th August 2023 as per the instructions of UGC. Different activities were held to mark this week on departmental level.
The Department of Social Work, Patna Women’s College observed Anti –Ragging week and organised different activities to spread the awareness regarding Ragging. On 12th August, 2023, The Department of Social Work organised the Screening of a “Documentary Movie”. A Documentary movie on Ragging and its consequences was screened in the departments as per the UGC Guidelines. The Documentary movie was an eye opener for the students , the information regarding the definition of ragging, the punishments involved in ragging, UGC
regulations on curbing menance of Ragging. Anti – Ragging helpline number was given to the students. At the end of the session was concluded by Dr. Mridul Mishra, Head, Department of Social Work in which she took feedback from the students regarding the documentary movie and spread awareness regarding the cons of ragging. Faculty member Sr Sanjana A.C., Assistant Professor, Department of Social Work and Ms. Akanksha, Assistant Professor, Department of Social Work were also present and gave informative lessons to student.
On 16th August, 2023 , The Department of Social Work shared the link of Anti –Ragging Affidavit form shared by the Patna Women’s College. The students of Semester 1 filled the Anti – Ragging Affidavit form under the guidance of Dr. Mridul Mishra, Head, Department of Social Work , Sr Sanjana A.C., Assistant Professor, Department of Social Work and Ms. Akanksha, Assistant Professor, Department of Social Work.
On 17th August, 2023, Under the guidance of Patna Women’s College, The Department of Social Work conducted Slogan Writing Competition, Poster Making Competition and Essay Writing competition to mark the Anti – Ragging
Week as per the guidelines of UGC. The students of Department of Social Work actively took part in activities and spread awareness regarding ragging through their creativity and writing. The activities were held under the guidance of Dr. Mridul Mishra, Head, Department of Social Work, Sr Sanjana A.C., Assistant Professor, Department of Social Work and Ms. Akanksha, Assistant Professor, Department of Social Work.
On 18th August,2023 , The Patna Women’s College concluded the Anti –Ragging Week by organising Logo Design Competition. The Department of Social Work took part in the Inter-Departmental Logo Designing competition
which was organized by the Department of MCA on the theme of “ AntiRagging “.The Department of Social Work ardently participated and presented the Logo Design in the competition and explained about Anti Ragging, effects
of ragging on students and gave the impactful message of the Design. The competition was judged on the basis of originality of the design, creativity, message and overall presentation.
