Brief Report-

Patna Women’s College celebrated Shravani Mahotsava in the Open-Air Stage Hall on 28th July 2022. The Shravani Dance Competition saw the participation of 8 groups who showcased the essence of Saavan through captivating and impactful dance performances. The performances revolved around themes addressing important social issues such as women’s freedom and the injustices faced by widows. The esteemed Judges for the event were Dr. Manjula Sushila, Head, Department of Hindi, Ms. Amrita, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Applications, and Ms. Yamini from the Department of Education. The program concluded with an uplifting speech by the honorable Vice-Principal, Dr. Sister M. Tanisha A.C., who encouraged the participants by stating, “A winner is someone who possesses the courage to participate.” The coordination of the program was led by the Cultural Coordinators of Patna Women’s College, namely Dr. Sister Celine Crasta A.C., Head, Department of History, Ms. Samiksha Sinha, Assistant Professor, Department of Sociology, and Ms. Enakshi Dey Biswas, Coordinator, Performing Arts.. The winners of the competition were students from the B.Sc. program who secured the first prize, followed by the Department of History in second place, and the Department of Political Science in third place. The entire program was well-organized under the guidance of Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C., Principal, Patna Women’s College.
