On 24 th April 2023 , The Department of Social Work conducted a ‘ Skill Enhancement and Training Session for Social Case Work ‘ The session was based on developing the skills among the students for social case work and the counselling session and applying the theoretical knowledge practically. The students were trained to use the right tools and techniques and how to solve the problem of the problem person /client. There were five groups of two members, one being social case worker and the other being the client. The social case worker listened the problems of the client in the process of which they used the values principles, tools and techniques which were required to solve the problems of the client . At the end of the session the groups submitted their session reports mentioning the problems of the client and what was the approach of the social case worker in solving the problems of the client .The activity was carried out in the professional settings , and also it was checked whether the client was satisfied with the case worker’s approach towards their problem .At the end of the session Ms. Mridul Mishra, Head Department of Social Work and Sister Sanajana A. C, Assistant Professor, Department of Social Work gave their valuable feedback and some important key points of their report and those required for the successful case study and counselling sessions.
