World Poetry Day
Patna Women’s College
On the occasion of ‘World Poetry Day’, The Department of Communicative English and Media Studies, Patna Women’s College organized an Inter-Departmental Poetry Competition on 21 March, 2023.
With Mr. Amitabh Ranjan and Prashant Ravi as the judging panel, 38 participants from various departments recited their poetic pieces in the presence of Dr. Tauseef Hassan, the Head of the department and Ms. Runa.
The participants honoured the profound impact that poetry has on our lives and it’s ability to evoke a concentrated imaginative awareness of experience. The poems, some of them being self-composed, consisted of various themes, like Bihar Diwas, racial equality, patriotism, and feminism.
Towards the end, the judges talked about how the revisited emotions of poetry make its beauty immortal.
