An educational visit for the PG final year students
The department of Home Science had organised an educational visit for the PG final year students along with the faculty members to the Cafeteria of the college, on 10th October 2023. They had a kitchen tour in the cafeteria. In the kitchen tour they were able to see how the commercial kitchen was set up and how food service professionals prepared meals. They were shown Quantity food commercial Equipments like
– Bain Marie, dosa bhatti, chimney, 2 door refrigerator, deep fryer, steamers, food warmers, sandwich maker, idli maker and fryer.The equipments included a variety of storage, shelving, cooking, serving, disposal and other equipments that helped the cafeteria staff to maintain an organized kitchen . Also the students learnt about the functioning of a commercial kitchen.
