To commemorate the inauguration of the advanced Veronica Auditorium, Patna Women’s College (Autonomous) celebrated the Annual Day 2.0 on 11th February 2023. This event was specifically organized for the final-year students. The esteemed Chief Guest for the occasion was Shri Vivek Kumar Singh, IAS, Development Commissioner, Government of Bihar. Prof. Ajay Kumar Singh, Pro-Vice Chancellor of Patna University, and Shri Deepak Kumar Singh, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary of the Department of Education, Government of Bihar, graced the event as the Guests of Honour. Bandana Preyashi, IAS, Secretary of the Department of Art, Culture, and Youth, Government of Bihar, presided over the function as the Special Guest. The Distinguished guests were warmly welcomed by Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C., Principal, Patna Women’s College, and Dr. Sister M. Tanisha A.C., Superior of Avila Convent and Vice Principal of the college. The program commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the esteemed dignitaries, followed by an opening dance performance and a welcome song presented by the students. Addressing the impressive gathering, the principal expressed her pride in the completion of the new auditorium, emphasizing its significance in the college’s history. She also paid tribute to the institution’s founders and highlighted Patna Women’s College’s continuous pursuit of academic excellence and women’s empowerment. Subsequently, a video presentation of the Annual Report 2022 showcased the college’s progress over the past two years, particularly focusing on the innovative measures undertaken to overcome the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic and the subsequent lockdown. The supervisors involved in the construction of Veronica Auditorium were felicitated during the event. Additionally, gold medals and certificates were awarded to the top-performing students of the 2018-21 and 2019-22 batches, including master’s and PG Diploma students. The entire event was organized under the guidance and supervision of Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C., the Principal of Patna Women’s College.
