Anti-Ragging Day

Anti-Ragging Day  was observed on August 12 and Anti-Ragging Week from 12th to 18th August to create awareness among students against Ragging.

On August 12, 2023, the Department of Commerce screened a Documentary film about the causes, impacts, and preventions of ragging as part of an Anti-Ragging Week celebration for all students of Semester  I, III, and V of  Department of Commerce. Everyone was taken aback by the film. The documentary concluded with a set of UGC-specified norms and rules. The Documentary demonstrated the negative consequences of ragging and concluded by urging students to effect positive change.

On 14th August, the Department of Commerce organized a session to fill the affidavit forms for Anti Ragging. Anti-ragging undertaking is majorly used as a written oath or declaration where the student accepts responsibility for their conduct .

On 17th August 2023, The Department of Commerce organized a Slogan writing competition for Semester I and Semester III and Poster Making Competition for Semester V to observe Anti Ragging week from 12th August to 18th August. The Theme for the Slogan Writing competition for Semester I was ‘SUPPORT THE CHANGE, SUPPORT ANTI-RAGGING’. The Theme for Slogan Writing Competition For semester III was ‘GET HIGH ON LIFE- NOT ON RAGGING’. The Theme for Poster Making Competition for Semester V was ‘LET’S MAKE INDIA RAGGING FREE’.  The students presented their views on Anti-Ragging in the current scenario of society.
