During Anti-Ragging Week, students actively participated in a various activities aimed at spreading awareness about the dangers and consequences of ragging. Deptt. of Computer  Applications (BCA),   Patna  Women’s College  conducted following activities:

  1. In order to celebrate Anti Ragging day on 12th August 2024, a documentary movie provided by the
Ministry of Human Resource Department (MHRD) was shown to the students of BCA-Ist, IIIrd and Vth
to make them aware about ragging and its consequences.  The Moral of the story was that ragging is an
activity violating the dignity of a student. Ragging creates an atmosphere of fear and insecurity. It also
ruins mental peace at immense level. Under the Anti Ragging Law, if a student is found guilty, he or she
can be imprisoned for three years along with fine, hence, neither do ragging nor be a part of ragging.
  2. On 13th August 2024, an online form was filled and submitted by all the students of BCA Semester-Ist.
Through this activity the students were made aware about anti-ragging programmes conducted by the
    Government of India.
  3. On 16th August 2024, a Flyer Making Competition was held in the Department in which all the students
of BCA Semester Ist and IIIrd participated. They made flyers regarding awareness of Anti Ragging Law
and to stop Ragging in colleges or universities. The event encouraged creativity and critical thinking,
with participants designing compelling flyers that highlighted the importance of creating a safe and
supportive campus environment. The competition served as an effective platform for students to voice
their commitment to anti-ragging efforts, ultimately fostering a stronger, more informed community.
