Brief Report:

The Health Centre, Department of Home Science organised an awareness programme on bone health in collaboration with Patna Menopause Society and Global Orthopaedic Forum on 20th October 2021. A panel of gynecologists Dr. Nibha Mohan, Dr. Kusum Gopal Kapur & Dr. Usha Didwania spoke on menopause, symptoms, problems related to bone, their prevention, and remedies. A renowned group of orthopaedicians Dr. Amulya Kumar Singh, Dr. Ramit Gunjan and Dr. Arnab Sinha discussed musculoskeletal problems. The programme was very informative, interesting, and interactive.

A camp was also organized for teaching and non-teaching staff to evaluate their bone health through Bone mineral density (BMD) test.

The program was organised under the supervision of Dr. Sister M. Tanisha A.C, Head, Department of Home Science. The coordinator of the program was Dr. Shazia Husain. The faculty members of the department Dr. Sujata Jha, Dr. Suniti Bhagat, Dr. Sunita Kumari, Dr. Rosy Kumari and Dr. Nisha Kumari were also present for the program.
