An alumni meet is a gathering of a school or college’s former students. The goal of an alumni meet is to recognize the contributions of former students in the professional world. A concept of re-unite in the nest from where they grew and flew off. The Department of Botany, Patna Women’s College organized the Alumni Meet on 16th September 2023 at 3 pm in Room number 306. The event was coordinated by Dr Hena Naz and Dr Anjana Verma. The meet aimed to provide a platform for alumni to reconnect with each other and engage in fun-filled activities, celebrate their success and various achievements. Dr Pinky Prasad, Dr Hena Naz, Dr Urvashi Sinha and Dr Anjana Verma greeted the alumni. As a welcome gesture, roses and chocolates were offered to all the attendees. Seeking the blessings of the Almighty, the programme started with a Prayer dance by Palak and her team. It was followed by a Welcome song sung by Sakshi and her group to welcome the alumni of our college. Then the most entertaining and interesting part of the event was conducted by Samiksha and Laiba. First one was passing the ball game and the second one was tambola (bingo). In passing the ball, the former students shared their views and experiences regarding their college life, favourite teacher and many more and got gifts as a token of love from their beloved teachers. The winners of the tambola game received prizes from Dr Pinky Prasad. The games brought the alumni closer together and reminded them of joy and wonder of life. In the end, Aparajita and her team presented a very energetic and mesmerizing Bollywood dance. Compering was done by Asra and Rishika and vote of thanks was proposed by Laiba. The anchors, performers and the volunteers were all from Semester I. A group photo was taken to commemorate the day’s events. As the evening drew to a close, the alumni bid each other farewell, promising to recreate this day again soon.
