EVENT- FRESHER’S DAY
On July 30, 2024, the Department of Mass Communication, Patna Women’s College (Autonomous), Patna University, organized Fresher’s Day ‘Aaghaz 2024’ for UG Sem I (2024-2028 batch) and PG Diploma (2024-2025 Batch).
The jury members included Sister M. Nelsa A.C., Assistant Professor, Department of English and Mr. Rajeev Ranjan, Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology.
The topic of ‘Fresher’s Day’ was ‘Kalakriti,’ which showcased the diverse cultures and customs of India. The performance started with a melodic Welcome song performed by the students of PG diploma course, which was then followed by recitations of English and Hindi poetry by UG semester I students. There were two group dances in which the students of Semester I performed classical and freestyle dance. The students of the PG diploma program showcased India’s diverse culture through a ramp walk.
Following the performances, a question-and-answer round was held for the Ms. Freshers contest, in which Muskan Sharma, UG Sem I student, was crowned as ‘Ms. Freshers 2024’.
Ms Roma, HoD, Mass Communication Department, and all the faculty members including Mr. Ajay Kumar Jha, Mr. Prashant Ravi, Dr. Aprajita Pathak, Mr. Gaurav Aranya, and Ms. Manya were present in the event.
