1.Event : Faculty Exchange & Student Exchange Programme with Sophia Girls’College, Ajmer

Date : 3rd February- 8th February,2023

Venue: College Campus

There was a student & faculty exchange programme held between the department of Political Science, Patna Women’s College and Department of Political Science, Sophia Girls’ College, Ajmer.Two faculty , Mr. Nishant pal & Ms. MimansaKhangarot along with five students took the classes and the students attended classes taken by the teachers of Patna Women’s College. The inaugural ceremony was held on 4th February,2023 where the Principal Dr. Sr. M. Rashmi A.C. and the Vice Principal Dr.Sr. M. Tanisha A.C. and the Head of the Department, Dr. Vinita Priyedarshi addressed the gathering. The guests interacted with the students  faculty. It was co-ordinated by  Mr. Alok John, Head NIICS.

Class : B.A. I

A short film titled “ Juice” was shown to the students . The short film reflected the patriarchy prevalent in the society.The students brought out various aspects including humiliation, dignity, class and caste conflict , motherhood etc. The protagonist of the short film was Shefali Shah whose acting left an indelible mark  on the minds of the students. The class was taken by Ms. Taniya Banerjee.



3.Event : Personality Class

Class : B.A. IV

A short film titled  “ Juice” was shown to students of B.A. Semester IV. The film is directed by Neeraj Ghaywan who is best known for works like Masan and Sacred games. The film is centered around gendered roles in a middle class household. The students after the video discussed the stereotypes prevalent in the society and what should be done in order to change it. The class was taken by Mr. Adweetiya Sinha.

A short film “ Juice” was shown to students. The students discussed  about the nuances of the video about the gender  issue. The class was taken by Dr. Vinita Priyedarshi.

The personality class was taken by Ms. Simran Sinha. The students discussed the personal  experiences on how the patriarchy is embedded in their everyday lives. The students focussed on various outcomes and consequences of the exploitation of women. They opined their views on how housewives are not given the due respect which should be given to them.
