Patna Women’s College organized a Founder’s Day program as a tribute to its former founders. The event began with the honorable Chief Guest, Archbishop William D’Souza S.J., sharing inspiring words, emphasizing that there are no limits to what women can achieve and encouraging them to march forward towards their ambitions and goals. The program commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by esteemed guests, including Archbishop William D’Souza S.J., Dr. Sister Doris D’Souza A.C., Dr. Sister Lavita A.C., Sister M. Tanisha A.C., and Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C. Archbishop William D’Souza S.J. paid homage to Bishop B.J. Sullivan S.J., the Founder of Patna Women’s College. A captivating prayer dance followed. Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C. welcomed the Chief Guests with floral bouquets and expressed gratitude for their presence at the program. The students presented a melodious welcome song titled “Aapke charan me hai naman…” accompanied by divine music. Several group dance performances showcased the bravery of the nation’s freedom fighters, and a special enactment depicted the story of Malala, the Nobel Prize winner, highlighting the quote, “Let this be the last time when we see a child out of school…”. The Cultural Coordinators, Sister Celine Crasta A.C. (Head of the Department of History), Ms. Enakshi Dey Biswas, and Ms. Samiksha Sinha (Assistant Professors in the Department of Sociology), effectively coordinated the entire event.
