Patna Women’s College (Autonomous) virtually celebrated the Founder’s day on August 27th, 2021 with great enthusiasm. The Programme was streamed live on the official YouTube channel of Patna Women’s College. The Programme commenced with a Prayer dance which was followed by a welcome song. Dr. Sister M Rashmi A.C, Principal, Patna Women’s College greeted and addressed the audience. She introduced Reverend Sebastian Kallupura, Archbishop, and Archdiocese of Patna. She also highlighted the contribution of Bishop B.J Sullivan S.J to the institution, the founder of Patna Women’s College. Reverend Sebastian Kallupura, Archbishop, Patna Archdiocese throw light upon the topic – Social responsibility of Citizenship in a Democratic System of Governance. “For, nothing worthwhile is lost until humanity is lost”, are the lines he quoted citing the example of great noble Dashrath Manjhi and the caring attitude of social responsibility towards the migrants amidst the COVID-19 situation prevailing around the globe. The Programme further witnessed a Thematic Dance. It highlighted the importance of education for women in today’s generation. Furthermore, a patriotic dance was performed instilling the feeling of patriotism among the everybody present in the arena. The Programme concluded with the vote of Thanks. Aditi Singh and Riya Pushkar, Students Council 2021-22 were the moderators of the Programme. The event was coordinated by the Cultural Co-ordinators, Ms. Enakshi Dey Biswas, and Ms. Samiksha Sinha, Assistant Professor, Department of Sociology.The entire event was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Sister M Rashmi A.C., Principal, Patna Women’s College.
